What to Expect, Cost of Care and Patient Forms

The initial appointment consists of a consultation, evaluation, and your first acupuncture treatment. Follow-up appointments usually include a brief updated evaluation and an acupuncture treatment.

What may happen in the consultation and evaluation?

This may include questioning, palpating areas of the body, looking at your tongue, taking your pulse and other observations that will assist in formulating a Chinese medical diagnosis.  For most acute symptoms with no history of chronic illnesses/diseases 3 to 5 visits may be sufficient to deal with the condition.  Most chronic conditions will require a 8-10 treatment series to see if acupuncture may be helpful followed by a treatment schedule for your desired outcome.  Like with all medicine each individual responds differently to treatment.

A treatment plan may consist of one or more of the following:  acupuncture, acupressure, Tuina (massage), cupping,  or other modalities that fall under the scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
